Ubuntu 16.04画像がEC2メタデータサービスに関するエラーを報告する

起動時に、一部の古いUbuntu 16.04インスタンスで次の警告が表示される場合があります。

これは、Ubuntuがcloud-initに加えた変更が原因で発生します。詳細はこちら。

Vultrインスタンスはcloud-initを使用していくつかの初期セットアップタスクを実行していましたが、2016年後半に新しいデプロイメントでこのプログラムの使用を停止しました。2016年に作成されたスナップショットを使用している場合、または2016年からUbuntu 16.04インスタンスを実行している場合は、 cloud-initがインストールされました。

警告を解決する方法はいくつかあります。

• 頻繁に展開するスナップショットからの警告が表示された場合は、フレッシュインストールからスナップショットを再作成することをお勧めします。
• 実行中のインスタンスで警告が表示された場合は、でcloud-initを削除することをお勧めしapt-get remove cloud-initます。
• cloud-initを使用している場合は、エラーメッセージの最後に記載されている手順に従って、このメッセージを抑制できます。
